Fisherman with big catch under blue sky

Rates

  • Rates are $850 per day for 1 or 2 anglers.
  • A full day is 8 hours or more.

We do work with a network of excellent guides and are able to arrange multi-boat trips for larger groups.

What's Included

  • All fishing tackle, fly rods and reels, or light spinning tackle is included. But you are more than welcome to bring your own. 8-10 weight fly rods with weight-forward floating lines are perfect for this.
  • Terminal tackle/leaders
  • Flies that are effective in our area are included; however, feel free to bring your own and Ron will help you select the right one for any situation.
  • Ice water is provided as part of the Kick Plastic campaign; a cooler with ice will be available.
  • All fuel cost and launch fees
  • All trips are strictly catch and release.

What to Bring

  • Polarized sunglasses, copper or brown lenses work great.
  • Shoes with non-marking soles
  • Plenty of layers of clothing for cold weather.
  • Rain jacket and rain pants or bibs.
  • 8 to 10-weight fly rods and reels if you wish to fish with your own tackle.
  • Sunscreen
  • Fishing License—Louisiana residents will need a basic fishing AND a saltwater license. For nonresidents, a 3-day charter passenger license is available for $20. If your trip will span more than 3 days, you may need to purchase consecutive licenses.
  • Lunch and/or snacks
  • Any personal medication needed

Terms and Cancellation Policy

  • Trips cancelled by the captain due to bad weather or mechanical issues will be issued a full refund of the deposit, or the deposit may be applied to a future trip.
  • Any trip cancelled within 30 days of the date of the trip will have to pay the full balance due for the trip unless the days are rebooked.
  • Any trip cancelled outside of 30 days from the date of the trip will forfeit the deposit.
  • Cancellations due to bad weather will be made by the captain when conditions present hazardous or unsafe conditions based on the captain's knowledge and experience. Trips will proceed in inclement weather that does not present a safety hazard. Many fish have been caught in bad weather.

  • Last-minute emergencies will be taken into consideration; please contact ASAP with any cancellation.
  • All anglers 16 and over are required to have a Louisiana fishing license. Louisiana offers a “Saltwater Charter Passenger License” at a reduced rate.
  • Redchaser Guide Service is happy to provide all rods, reels, flies, lures, and other needed equipment. You will be responsible for paying for the repair or replacement of any rods, reels, or equipment that you break or that you lose overboard (excluding flies, lures, and leaders being fished) at the cost of repair or replacement by manufacturers to Redchaser Guide Service (in most instances, below retail pricing).
